I thought of this poweful word 'Family' today because I miss so much my family in the Philippines. I remember how my mom and dad went through the years, they struggled, they fight, they kiss and make-up, they gave-up, they tried again, they work on what they have and didn't worry of things they don't have and the most important, they raised me well. Modesty aside, I was raised very well by my loving parents. I always keep in mind all their reminders and moral values that they instilled in me. I finished college, got into a job, worked harder, enjoyed being single and fortunately gave getting married and have a family a serious thought. Years forward, I'm a stay at home mom enjoying my active son who's my everything. Family will always be there whatever matters, that's my family back home and that would be me to my son. You can choose your friends and they come and go but family will stick with you for all seasons.
This is one of their special moments, hubby just got home and my son told him to lay down, his dad can't say no even he needed to have dinner first. Love this photo and I love these two wonderful boys of my life.
With the current problem in obesity increases, this photo might be offensive to others but it depicts what's has transpired eversince and this should be a wake up call for all of us.
The title implied a sentimental mood because it happened to me yesterday afternoon. It was hubby's day off so the three of us went out for lunch and dropped by at Chucke e Cheese's for my son's playtime and on our way back home, I saw a guy from Little Caesars Pizza who kept on waving that $5/box pizza signboard. I remember earlier this year, a guy wearing Liberty Tax mascot freezing at the side of a busy highway and another one last week having her umbrella on because it was raining waving a signboard for a retail store that will be having Closing Out Sale. Whenever I see people like them who needed to endure all kinds of weather and be required to stand there for long hours, waving/dancing, the more I appreciate my life, I'm so blessed. Hats off to these people who endure the freezing, soaking and scorching to earn a decent living. I even told hubby who sometimes says that life sucks whenever he's stressed with his job, that he should stop saying it because he's fortunate to have a job and a better one than they have. I don't know these people but they touched a spot in my heart upon seeing them, I love life! I thank GOD for giving my life and the kind of life that I have now.
This video is so inspiring with its message and the clever idea of coming up with this kind of story, it's a real talent. I wish I could have that talent and passion to create a thing like this. It will impact your life and it's done in simple and awesome medium. Kudos to this girl! How inspiring!
It's so sad to think that there are people who don't believe in GOD and much more when you learned that they have been increasing each day. I don't want to sound hypocrite or pretentious because I have my own weaknesses too but why we need to remember God the most whenever we're in pain, trouble or have problems? Yeah, we do thank him whenever we experience fortune or major accomplishments but always, it will just be for that moment. I'm trying to thank GOD for small things like waking up and living another day, for feeling well minus headache or other pain, drove safely both for hubby, me and the school bus driver. There are people who just remember GOD according to their schedule or whenever they want to. It's an alibi to say that even you're not attending mass or going to your church services, you're a worthy christian/catholic. It's an obligation, GOD gave us 7 days in a week to do whatever we want, but why can't we spend an hour with him. Yup, he's everywhere, you can talk to him and you might say that he knows what's in your heart and that's the most important. But deep inside you, you know that you're ignoring GOD most of the time. Why am I saying these? because I experienced them before but when I was put in a situation that only GOD is the most available to talk with, I surrender everything to him, I let him maneuver my life. I'm no longer scared of what will happen to me or question GOD because he knows what's best for me and he's a very merciful and kind. I just hope that some of you could relate on what I'm saying. Let's not wait for the time that we badly needed GOD before we call on him. Let's make it a habit to talk to him and open up everything, unload it, share it with GOD and always be patient to wait for GOD's time and not Our time for our prayers to be answered. I thank GOD for inspiring me to write this post.

The first time that I saw this picture honestly it gave me goosebumps because it imparted to me that GOD is patient, merciful, kind and always there waiting for us to call on him through prayers. How this photo affects you on your first sight? It may be nothing or it could just be a guy resting or waiting for someone. You could be right but for me I see beyond this photo, I thought of GOD who always wait for us to call on him.
